New Start Up-Backed by Foreclosure guru and a seasoned management team of serial entrepreneurs. We’re pioneering a new way to connect future home owners with the growing inventory of bank owned foreclosures. We’re seeking an entrepreneurial and experienced web architect to lead the continual development of our website, web applications, back-end tools and systems. In addition to leading a dedicated team of engineers, the ideal candidate will have experience managing expectations and defining deliverables. This is a “hands-on” position and will require you to be involved in the development process as well as requiring you to “roll up your sleeves” to code side by side with the engineering team.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on architect who love large-scale distributed environments, open source tools, and interested in testing the limits of system infrastructure and rapid development. PHP, PERL or Python should run in your vein, and the CLI should be your friend. We have an open working environment and encourage collaboration, teamwork, and peer performance reviews.
Although the below qualification is preferred, we do recognize that any talented and smart engineer can pick up things quickly and catch up to our momentum. Your passion and enthusiasm is part of your profile.
Target Employment Hours:
2PM-11PM (Sunday through Thursday)-work with offshore teams in the Philippines, China, and the Ukraine.
Preferred Qualifications Include:
Experience with the LAMP (P = PHP, Perl, Python) stack
Bash/Shell Scripting
Source Control – Subversion Preferred
MySQL 5, replication/cluster/large databases
MySQL stored procedures, views, and triggers a plus
Proficiency with Unix/Linux systems and the command line
Experience with (x)HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Experience with project management
Experience with source control (SVN, CVS, GIT)
Experience with defect tracking tools (Bugzilla, Fogbugz, Jira)
Project Management with Offshore or Outsource Firms is a Plus!
