WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU
Responsibilities:
* Designing and implementing cutting-edge user interfaces using Ajax, CSS, and DHTML
* Designing and implementing modular and highly-performing server-side game logic
* Designing and implementing internal tools that support our games
* Designing and implementing database schema and access mechanisms
* Ensuring our game interfaces work across all supported browser environments

Requirements:
* 1-3 years programming experience for consumer-based web applications using Ruby on Rails
* 1-2 years programming experience with AJAX, JS, CSS, & DHTML
* 1-2 years programming experience with Ruby
* Ability to quickly prototype and iterate towards production-level quality
* Ability to quickly prototype and iterate towards production-level quality

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking to hire a rockstar Operations Engineer, like yesterday.

SUMMARY:
The Serious Business Operations Engineer is responsible for the build-out, automation, scalability, and uptime of our operating environment.
The Operations Engineer will work very closely with the developers to perform tasks such as software releases and database migrations.
The Operations Engineer must also provide tools and processes to enable the Engineering team to manage the operational aspects of their
applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
management of datacenter resources
monitoring the health of our applications
troubleshooting of all operational issues
provide support to Engineering for server and database management (new builds, migrations, etc.)
manage capacity cushion of our systems

REQUIREMENTS
3-5 years experience managing multi-server farms of web-based applications
Expertise managing Linux-based systems
Expertise managing MySQL databases
Expertise at task automation and configuration management
Strong CS background
Proficient with script-based languages
Knowledge of programming languages such as Ruby and Python
Adept at managing build-out and maintenance of high-transaction database-backed applications
